INAUGURATION DAY PROTEST OF TRUMP'S EVIL AGENDA, Jan. 20, 2025

INAUGURATION DAY 2025 PROTEST, organized by Waco Friends of the Climate, in coalition with the Party for Socialism & Liberation. This protest was simultaneous with swearing in of the felon-in-chief, 11am-1pm, at the intersection of Valley Mills & Waco Drives, in Waco, TX.
--"NO To Trump's Evil Agenda" was the primary theme of the protest, displayed on a 20ft banner. Smaller fixed yard signs declared "Felon Trump," "Rapist Trump", and "Trump Lies."
--The Party for Socialism & Liberation members focused on freeing Gaza from occupation, now that a cease fire has been reached.
--Wind chill was 29F, although it felt colder to me.
--Considering the weather conditions, the crowd of about 17 was excellent.
--Hot chocolate was provided, which was helpful in warming the activists.
--Response by motorists was mixed, with pro-Trump and anti-Trump sentiments heard.
--One very positive feature was that 4 or 5 passersby stopped and thanked us for the protest, or joined the group. (Materials were available for activists to make their own signs.).
--One or two counterprotestors stopped by, but their knowledge base was poor and their arguments did not hold up when debating our crowd.
--Zoria Goodley of Fox TV 44 covered the protest, interviewing 2 of the activists. Many thanks to Zoria.
--The group enjoyed lunch at Bangkok Royale after the protest.
--Most sincere thanks to all the activists who attended, and the folks who joined us along the way.
