Meetings are currently held on the 4th Tuesday, 6pm, at the South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th St., Waco, TX 76706. Sept. 24 Meeting with Documentary "The Night Won't End: Biden's War on Gaza"

 --Waco Friends of the Climate's Sept Mtg. (4th Tue.), Sept. 24, 6pm, in the large meeting room, at the South Waco Library, 2737 S. 18th St. Waco 76706.
--The educational program will include screening of the documentary "The Night Won't End: Biden's War on Gaza (2024)."
--The film brings to life the statistics of over 41,000 Palestinians killed by Israel, through the stories of four Palestinian families in besieged Gaza. The film is graphic, intense and heartbreaking, highlighting the loss of life in Gaza, displacement of the people, and the massive destruction of infrastructure. In supplying weapons to Israel, the U.S. bears responsibility for this genocide. The war is relevant to the climate crisis, as it contributes significantly to planetary warming.
--We will take action through a letter to Pres. Biden and VP Harris, calling for an immediate end to U.S. weapons to Israel, a permanent cease fire, and freedom for the Palestinian people.
--The business session at 6pm, will focus on the Go Renewable Waco campaign, and obtaining volunteers for 3 events in the month of October.
-- Vegan refreshments will be available.
