STEAM/clipse Event at the Waco Convention Center, April 6.

STEAM/clipse EVENT at the Convention Center, April 6, 11-4pm:
--Waco Friends of the Climate participation consisted of a booth and a PowerPoint presentation.
--Waco Friends of the Climate booth with amazing interactive site which displays major foci of GHG emissions around the globe, and distribution of free climate yard signs, climate information business cards, and reusable shopping bags.
--Reception was very positive, with not a single climate denier to my knowledge. The GHG emissions site interested frequent guest s, including one 5th grade student. One visitor was from Los Angeles and exploring the emission sites in that locality was fascinating.
--My presentation "Home Electrification to Combat the Climate Crisis" covered the current status of the climate crisis, and the steps in home electrification, based on my recent completion of this process in my home. I can't really judge attendance because I'm not aware of attendance numbers of the other speakers. Mine was the only talk on climate change--the rest were on the eclipse or other space topic. My talk did appear well received, as excellent questions were numerous.
--Deepest thanks to Ken Wilkins, PhD, a retired Professor of Biology and Assistant Dean of Baylor University, who helped with the distribution of free items, explanation of GHG emissions site with visitors, and setup and tear-down of the booth.
--Thanks to STEAM/clipse for hosting this event, and for providing us a booth space.
--for free yard signs or reusable bags, and to join our email list, email anorthc@aol.com
