Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. We hope to hold monthly meetings in the future. We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. RESISTING FASCISM, ONE SUNDAY AT A TIME. 3) Because of the sad passing of our webmaster, Harrison Ward, we have not been able to keep the website up to date. Help raise awareness of the climate crisis, deeply needed in Waco. 6) Winners of the "Sixth Annual Climate Crisis Art Exhibit" may be found in the Archives, April 2023. Some incredible climate art may be viewed.

Waco Friends of the Climate free YARD SIGN DISTRIBUTION

Waco Friends of the Climate free YARD SIGN DISTRIBUTION at "Out On the Brazos" event, Sat., Oct 8, 11am until 6pm:

--fantastic response from the attendees, even better than I expected.

--distributed about 74 free "Climate Crisis is Here" yard signs

--recipients would use in yard (with metal stakes) or in windows for apartments (no stake needed)

--also distributed to everyone who stopped by our climate action business cards.  contact info with about 15 suggested steps on climate mitigation for everyone. 

--thanks to the many people who took a sign--dont forget to display it.  if we don't give witness to the climate crisis, who will?

although this IS Waco, we should never fear telling the truth

--massive THANKS to our amazing volunteers.  the table was very far from the parking spot, and it would have been tough to unload everything without help.  thanks to Dr. Kenneth Wilkins, Monty Suffern, Mike Tobias, and Mike's nephew.  everyone worked longer than their time slot, and contributed greatly to the success of this event.
