Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. We hope to hold monthly meetings in the future. We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. A MAJOR LOCAL SUCCESS on mitigation of the CLIMATE CRISIS

The first ROOFTOP SOLAR photovoltaic system, with 84 panels, was installed by the City of Waco on the new #6 Fire Station on 25th St. Friends of the Climate began pushing for the City to install solar on its new buildings in 2018, specifically for this fire station in 2020. The City announced it in May 2020, and it was recently installed.

Once the invertors are added the system will produce about half of the facility's power, according to City sources.
