5th Climate Art Exhibit Update

From Alan Northcutt:

Excellent progress has been made on the 5th Annual Exhibit and
I wish to update you all on the current status:

The show is open and has been seen by many visitors. We now have 448

votes for the Peoples' Choice Award, an increase over last year. The Waco
Tribune-Herald did a nice article on the show in the Access Waco section recently.

We hope you enjoy the amazing entries this year. We would greatly
appreciate you sharing the web address with your contacts, and sharing
our event post in my feed and on Waco Friends of the Climate, on Facebook.

Six artworks have sold thus far. All will be marked "sold" soon. Note that this
platform will not allow us to use red dots, so we indicate purchase with the
word "sold" after the title of the piece. Purchasing pieces from young artists
is a nice way to encourage their progress. And please notify me of any sales
so I may designate this on the website.

Return of art to the artists is about 3/4 complete. Soon we will notify remaining
artists that they may pick up their work in the same garage location. Because of
the cold, the garage door has been closed at times. If you find it closed, please
ring the doorbell or text me (254.744.1682), to have it opened. If you would like
me to deliver your piece, please email your address to me.

Judging was complete last Friday. We will wait a bit longer to allow more People's
Choice voting, and then announce all awards at a ZOOM virtual reception.

Thanks to everyone for participating and for caring about the climate crisis.
