Alan Northcutt For Waco City Council

From Alan Northcutt:

NORTHCUTT for District 5, Waco City Council:  please HELP

Thanks to your hard work & dedication, the Waco Friends of the Climate has been a positive (and largely the only) force combating the climate crisis in Waco--for a decade.  The "Go Renewable Waco Campaign" definitely pushed the City of Waco to take small steps of decarbonization.  And now, most of you know I have decided to try and really play the inside game by running for Waco City Council,  District 5.  I have an uphill battle against incumbent conservative Jim Holmes; thus I call on all members to continue our struggle by supporting me in this race, with Election Day May 1st.

If every member does something to support the campaign, I believe we can win.  Below are suggested actions:

  • Register to vote:  deadline April 1st. Here is the link to the form, with mailing instructions:
  • Vote on May 1st or during early voting April 19th thru April 27th.
  • Small yard sign: place one in your yard or window, no matter where you are located.   Text or email me your address & I will deliver to you.  My contact info is:  254 744 1682. .
  •  Large yard sign:  for the huge 8' X 4' sign we need a fence or property in which we can put in   spikes to hold the sign.  If this is your property, you may give us permission. This is HUGELY helpful.
  • Bumper sticker:  if you wish to display this moving ad for our campaign for the next 5 weeks, contact me through the contact info above.
  • T-shirt:  these beautiful T's are free & speak of our campaign everywhere you go.They contain the solar logo on the flyer below.  Contact me.
  • Flyer:  if you would like to hand out these beautiful flyers to your friends or at local events, contact me.  We have a large supply.
  • Talk about our campaign:  word of mouth is one of the best methods of reaching voters.  Ask your friends and colleagues for their support.
  • Canvasing:  if you enjoy going door-to-door and interacting directly with voters, this is perfect for you. Text message to 254 744 1682.
Please see below the 2 sides of our flyer.  We are currently mailing these to every residence in District 5 and will also place on doors and otherwise distribute them.  If you would like some flyers to hand out, text me at 254 744 1682.

Through our "Go Renewable Waco" campaign, we have seen the Waco City Council take small steps on decarbonization. With your help, I can win this election, and the City will have a voice for science on it's council, to balance the voices of lawyers and bankers. The climate crisis will be the top priority, but I will also focus on improving quality of life for all Wacoans. I respectfully ask for your help in addressing mankind's greatest challenge from a position on the Waco City Council.
