WRITE Quick E-mail to Help Keep Our Vital VOICE on the Waco Tribune-Herald

From Alan Northcutt:

Most of you know that I have had the opportunity to serve on the Board of Contributors of the Waco Tribune-Herald newspaper over the last several years. During that time, I have written at least 20 columns on the climate crisis. Recently, the Trib Opinion Editor announced his retirement and that the Board of Contributors would be decreased in size. This is bad news, and I fear the loss of my Board position. This position has provided a fantastic platform to speak climate truth to many deniers in Waco, and to help alert all readers of the urgency of climate action.

Thus, I humbly request that you help me retain my Board seat. If you have read my columns you know that they are science-based, concise, hard hitting, free of bombast, and, I hope, well written. If you believe our opportunity to speak about climate is vital (and no other contributors are so focused), please write a short email to the following decision makers at the Trib, requesting that I be retained on the Board of Contributors. Everyone should write in her own words, but reasons could include: robust action on the climate crisis will require an informed public, the local media has minimal climate information otherwise, Dr. Northcutt's columns are informative and interesting. This can be completed in 5 minutes.

To help retain our climate voice, please send your concise supportive email ASAP, addressed "Dear Sir," to:

sboggs@wacotrib.com (Editor)
jbsmith@wacotrib.com
letters@wacotrib.com

Many and deepest thanks for taking action.
