CURRENT INFORMATION: go to our Facebook group "Waco Friends of the Climate." 1) Beginning Jan. 2025, our focus has been on resistance to Donald Trump, since his policies are our greatest threat to the climate. Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. We hope to hold monthly meetings in the future. We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. Delivery of signs is available. Help raise awareness of the climate crisis, deeply needed in Waco. 6) Winners of the "Sixth Annual Climate Crisis Art Exhibit" may be found in the Archives, April 2023. Some incredible climate art may be viewed.

Artist Awards

We have been asked if our judging with awards would still happen, since the event is
virtual. The answer is YES. To review, the awards are as follows:

Adult 1st-$1000, Adult 2nd-$600, Adult 3rd-$400, Peoples' Choice-$400, Student 1st-$500, Student 2nd-$200, Student 3rd-$100.

Although most artists enter to play a part in combating our existential threat of climate change, hopefully these awards will offer an additional incentive.
