AUGUST MEETING: Sustainable Resource Practices Advisory Board Meeting

Date: Wednesday, August 21, 2019
Time: 4 pm until approximately 5:30pm
Venue: Waco City Hall, 3rd Floor Conference Room

The SRPAB will finally convene again, and we will be there to greet it.  We were able to get the Board thinking about decarbonization and renewable energy, and it sent a list of recommendations to the City Council last March.  But it’s obvious the Board does not grasp the fact that we have a climate emergency, as it has not considered climate change for about 5 months.  As of today the agenda is not posted, but we need to again make the point that recycling is not enough and that the Board must consider all avenues of GHG cutting and carbon sink enhancement.  Alan Northcutt expects to speak at some point during the meeting.

Dinner will be provided after the Board meeting.

Since this Board meeting falls within our ongoing Go Renewable Waco campaign, this will be considered our August meeting and we need everyone to attend.
