TONIGHT (April 2): MORE Voices at City Council

We created a powerful action 2 weeks ago with 12 speakers in succession at the Business Session of Waco City Council.

Several members plan to speak April 2, to continue the message that anthropogenic climate change is a global emergency, and that the City of Waco must step up NOW and take action on mitigation.

If you did not have an opportunity to speak on March 19, or wish to speak again,  please join us.

Arrive 5:45pm at the Bosque Theater of the Waco Convention Center, 100 Washington Avenue, Waco 76701.  If you park in the large lot behind the Center and Hilton, enter on the right side at the back (farthest from Hilton).  The Bosque Theater is seen immediately after entering the outside doors.  Fill out a request to speak card and enter the Theater (auditorium).  After about 30 minutes of business beginning at 6pm,  the comment segment begins.  Names are called from the cards.  3 minutes are allowed, and a yellow light on the podium indicates 30 seconds remaining.

PLEASE JOIN US.  This is an excellent opportunity for us to keep up the pressure on the City to join 100s of cities moving to decarbonize.  Since the Council people still do not seem to grasp the urgency of climate action, our voices for the biosphere are crucial.

Speaking at this forum is the right thing to do and also FEELS GREAT.
