"JUST EAT IT" Documentary Labeling Information

We wish to provide follow-up information to clarify some questions that arose at the January 16 meeting.

After studying the USDA website I arrived at 2 conclusions that basically conform to our thoughts Tuesday night:
  1. The only labeling required by federal law in the US is for baby formula. 
  2. Examination of food for changes in odor, color, texture and taste is the best method of determining if a given food   item is safe.

The USDA web page does provide more detail and helpful information on interpreting specialized labeling, as for eggs.  Please check out this link for these details:
