Important Announcements
CURRENT INFORMATION: go to our Facebook group "Waco Friends of the Climate."
1) Beginning Jan. 2025, our focus has been on resistance to Donald Trump, since his policies are our greatest threat to the climate. Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. We hope to hold monthly meetings in the future. Visit our Facebook group for current activities, Waco Friends of the Climate. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1330231820335851

We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. RESISTING FASCISM, ONE SUNDAY AT A TIME.

Everyone welcome
Alan Northcutt will deliver a lecture with slideshow recounting his experience at the Paris climate summit: the response of the city, the protests, and thoughts about our next steps.
Although not strong enough to limit temperature shift to 1.5°C, the Paris
accord may be one of the most important agreements in
the history of civilization. With the unification of 195 nations to
combat climate change, this unprecedented document provides a
framework for future more aggressive limits
of GHG emissions.
From our participation in a protest near
the Louvre, the presentation will provide first hand account of activities
outside the official COP site.
For an interactive presentation, questions will be welcome
during the lecture.
Email to anorthc@aol.com to be placed on the Friends of Peace email list.
