"Climate Change Kills" October Die-In demonstration



What: "Climate Change Kills" Die-In demonstration
When: Saturday, October 17, 2015, 2-4 pm
Where: Corner of Valley Mills and Waco Drives, near PeiWei

Waco Friends of Peace will participate in The Peoples’ Climate Movement’s national day of action, which aims to increase demand for a powerful agreement at the COP21 which will limit global temperature increase to 2 degrees C.  Although October 14th is the official day, our action will be on Saturday, October 17th, in order to facilitate maximum attendance by those concerned about climate change.  We are not scheduling our usual monthly documentary/speaker event in order to focus our energy on this action.

The FOP action will be a “die in.”  Several activists will hold a huge banner that states “Climate Change Kills.”  The rest will lie on the ground as if dead, wearing white “death masks” (provided).  This will be a powerful statement, and all that are concerned about climate change are urged to attend and help make this a successful action.
