COWSPIRACY: The Sustainability Secret

Thursday, June11th

Waco
6 PM Business & Buffet
6:30 Film & Discussion
Runtime: 91 Minutes

Cowspiracy is probably the most stunning environmental documentary we have encountered.  According to the director, the film "follows an intrepid filmmaker as he uncovers the most destructive industry facing the planet today and investigates why the world's leading environmental organizations are too afraid to talk about it."  This shocking yet humorous documentary is as eye-opening as Blackfish and as inspiring as An Inconvenient Truth.

The documentary is stunning, highly educational, beautifully filmed, and controversial. Although we are all aware that a vegetarian diet has a much lower carbon footprint than a diet including meat, Cowspiracy takes this concept to a new level, claiming that the meat industry "is the leading cause of s species extinction, ocean dead zones, water pollution, desertification, deforestation, and habitat loss."

Email to anorthc@aol.com to be placed on the Friends of Peace email list.
