The Rise of Ecology: 10 Disasters That Changed the World, is the Friends of Peace film for April. As we search around the world for the best films for our meetings, the documentary this month comes from France.  The Rise of Ecology reviews 10 environmental disasters that helped create the modern movement to combat climate change.  Although viewers will recognize some events, other events will be new — thus this film is highly educational.  All events are fascinating, as this project is based almost entirely on powerful historical footage.  Viewers will be moved as well as educated, and inspired in our battle to preserve our biosphere.

Email to anorthc@aol.com to be placed on the Friends of Peace email list.
