Carrie Gonzalez, RN, MSN,
FNP, will speak on "The Health Effects of
Climate Disruption in Texas." A very informative
lecture is planned, focusing on the effects of climate change in our
state. Ms. Gonzalez is with the Physicians for Social Responsibility, a
highly respected Nobel Prize-winning organization.
Carrie will
discuss how climate disruption causes serious health problems, and provide a
background on temperature variations and pollution contributors to global
climate change. In addition, Carrie will focus on heat-related illnesses, the
spread of infectious disease, climate change and conflict, and the more extreme
effects of drought, flood and water related illnesses.
