Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. We hope to hold monthly meetings in the future. We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. Carrie Gonzalez, RN, MSN, FNP, will speak on "The Health Effects of Climate Disruption in Texas."  A very informative lecture is planned, focusing on the effects of climate change in our state.  Ms. Gonzalez is with the Physicians for Social Responsibility, a highly respected Nobel Prize-winning organization.
 
Carrie will discuss how climate disruption causes serious health problems, and provide a background on temperature variations and pollution contributors to global climate change. In addition, Carrie will focus on heat-related illnesses, the spread of infectious disease, climate change and conflict, and the more extreme effects of drought, flood and water related illnesses.
