We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. The Friends of Peace action on the 10th anniversary of the Afghanistan war received minimal press coverage.

It seems clear that the powers that be are frightened by the growing strength of the peace movement and the Occupy Wall Street and Occupy Together actions across the country.

So the FOP did a paid ad in the Waco Trib, which appeared opposite the Opinion page. We have not had the manpower to occupy Waco, but we did occupy the Op-Ed page that day. Our support of the OWS movement, and call for ending senseless wars, healing the planet, and healthcare for all were clearly broadcast with this ad.
