1) Beginning Jan. 2025, our focus has been on resistance to Donald Trump, since his policies are our greatest threat to the climate. Thus, we are not having monthly meetings at this time. 2) Our role in the resistance includes a weekly protest at the pedestrian bridge in Waco, Valley Mills Dr. & Bagby Avenue, each Sunday, 1:00pm-2:30pm. We began the protest in March 2025 and it has been carried on weekly for over one year. We provide huge, highly visible banners. Please join us. RESISTING FASCISM, ONE SUNDAY AT A TIME.

5)Free "climate crisis is here" yard signs may be obtained by emailing anorthc@aol.com. Delivery of signs is available. Help raise awareness of the climate crisis, deeply needed in Waco.
6) Winners of the "Sixth Annual Climate Crisis Art Exhibit" may be found in the Archives, April 2023. Some incredible climate art may be viewed.
FREE CONCERT: Sat. Aug 6, 2011, 6.p.m.
David Rovics in concert was amazing. A great crowd of about 70 was entertained, informed, and inspired by the lyrics, music, and heart of David. The date was August 6. Appropriately, the high point of the concert was the heart breaking and powerful "Hiroshima." We must have David back.

Don't miss the only appearance by Rovics in Texas this summer! Catch his performance before he departs for a tour in Europe. You will be moved and inspired to action by his brilliant lyrics and powerful voice/guitar technique. Recall some of David's most popular songs, such as "Who would Jesus Bomb," and "Operation Iraqi Liberation: O.I.L." As Cindy Sheehan has observed: "David is the peace poet and troubadour of our time."
We will have David Rovic's T-shirts and CD's for sale. And as always, courtesy of Waco Friends of Peace, free yard signs, bumper stickers, and books.
At this time of government by and for the corporations, come support the progressive movement in Central Texas, talk to others of like mind, and help provide a worthy audience for a performer of Rovic's stature. So please come--and bring a friend or colleague. Thank you.
