WHY: 8th anniversary of U.S. invasion of
Iraq.
March 19th will mark the 8th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of another country (Iraq). We realize, and a majority of the U.S. populace now realizes, that the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan are futile wars, not worth the human and dollar costs. So we look deeper with this thought provoking lecture by Professor Zinn. Dr. Zinn analyzes wars of a different type--wars that are almost uniformly considered "good". And in so doing, he documents the great human suffering and disaster that ALL wars are. He powerfully drives home the point that ALL wars should be avoided. Please join us for this very informative and stimulating lecture, one of the last public lectures of this great historian and peace activist. The run time is only 57 minutes--leaving time for discussion of the film and/or the appropriate response of the peace movement to this 8th anniversary date. We are honored by your presence.
