September 9, Progressive Lecture Series and Meeting
DATE: Thursday, September 9, 2010.
TIME: 6pm pizza buffet and announcements, 6:30 lecture and discussion.
VENUE: Poppa Rollo's Pizza Westbank meeting room, 703 N. Valley Mills Drive, Waco.
TOPIC: U.S.- ISRAEL RELATIONS: A CANDID APPRAISAL by Colbert Held, PhD.
AUDIENCE: All welcome.
ADMISSION: All free.
DETAILS: See flyer (prepared by Harrison Ward, FOP).
You are cordially invited to this important lecture by experienced diplomat and Baylor
professor, Colbert Held, PhD. We are truly honored to have Dr. Held speak and request
your presence to ensure a suitable crowd for a guest lecturer of this international stature.
And his experience and opinions are vital as at this moment negotiations are underway in
Washington toward the goal of an Israeli-Palestinian peace. The timing of this event is thus
perfect.
Preceding the lecture is a short FOP business meeting. Topics include the military waste
billboard, the September 11 candlelight vigil at the local mosque, the September 14 Sarah
Palin event at Baylor (our response?), and the "Turn Off Fox" campaign initiated locally by
Harley Johnson.
As always, we have free "War Is Not the Answer" yard signs available for all who want them.
See you on September 9th.
